The Brief

The core tenanted estate of Ei Group receives many applications for potential vacancies. Often, applicants will apply for pub sites that don’t match their experience and skills which results in wasted time and cost within the recruitment and Ops functions. As part of the development of a more targeted approach to recruitment, we were briefed to develop a number of tools and videos which would ‘paint a picture’ of the key types of pubs to help potential applicants refine their options in advance of applying.

What We Did

Having visited and reviewed a number of potential ‘benchmark sites’, we created storyboards and scripts to highlight the key differences between 4 key types of pubs. We then filmed and photographed real customers, staff and tenants, edited to a final 90 second videos and applied a professional voice over. We also created several shorted versions of these video for social media use.

 

The Outcome

The videos are now being applied to the landing pages of the Ei Publican Partnerships websites and used in social media campaigns. There is some early evidence that applicants are being encouraged to apply for sites which are more matched to their experience and talents.
